The Miami-Dade Republican Liberty Caucus June Meeting

  • Jun 26, 2008 · 7:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

There is no meeting this month due to the Miami-Dade Lincoln Day dinner. Please join us at next month's REC/RLC meeting.

Consistent with RLC political strategy, the Miami-Dade County Meetup of the Republican Liberty Caucus is not a stand-alone meeting. Instead, RLCers meet in conjunction with the Miami-Dade County Republican Executive Committee.

Because of the participation of numerous RLCers in the REC and other South Florida committees and clubs, the membership is increasingly friendly to the libertarian ideas of limited government and individual liberty. However, many different viewpoints are presented at these meetings in a thoughful and civil environment.

Past speakers at South Florida RLC Meetups have included Robert Poole, founder of the Reason Foundation and Reason Magazine; Cato Institute fellow Carlos Ball; Ed Hudgins and RLCer Frank Bubb of The Atlas Society (formerly The Objectivist Center); James Madison Institute Policy Director Bob Sanchez; business speaker, term limits activist and RLCer Bob Burg, Americans for Prosperity state coordinator and RLCer Adam Guillette and Mackinac Center for Public Policy founder and FEE trustee Larry Reed.

The goal of the RLC is to promote libertarian philosophy and policy to and through the GOP and to assist liberty-minded candidates win party and public offices. For more info about the RLC, see:

Typical dinner with accolades and speeches. The food was good. I met a lot of people and got Speaker Marcos Rubio to say that he will available to support Dean after July 6.
