This has nothing to do with Ron Paul, people! Do you all really not understand that this is a move designed to protect the Republican Party from us? You know, the grassroots that are responsible for the sweeping victories of 2010? Can you PLEASE check the hatred for Dr. Paul and his supporters at the door and look at the big picture?
The reason everyone on this list should care is that with this ham-fisted move to seize control over the party the party hacks have just given the grassroots the finger, and provided those that were on the fence supporting Romney the ultimate reason to go third party. Again, you can’t treat people like ^&%$ and then expect everyone to “unite” and sing Kumbaya.
The RNC may have just tipped the scales in favor of Obama by doing this. They are literally driving the Ron Paul faction and some of the hard core Tea Partiers to vote third party. It’s an absolute disaster. I’ve seen something very similar to this happen in one of the trade associations I was involved with – it tore the organization apart. If the rules stand the Republican Party is dead, and you will see the rise of a third party.

The "Fact" is simple; The primary objective is to beat Obama and Ron Paul can't do that. Vote for the ticket that can beat Obama. But the way most people with a thinking, functioning brain (with neurons that fire) would think that Romney/Ryan is the ticket with the best shot to do that.
Of course, there are some that will still write in names like Ron Paul, Gary Johnson, Popeye, Clark Kent and even Sean Freeman, but that would only help Obama win because none of those names can defeat Obama!
We need to assemble everyone together, to defeat Obama. Those who take a different view and cast a vote for a ticket that cannot win, will only contribute to an Obama second term.
So, moan and groan, and call those who want to defeat Obama "Sheeple" but what I've said here, is a fact! Any vote for any ticket other than the Romnet/Ryan ticket will be a vote that could help put Obama into a second term.
Now, let me hear some "Mental Midget" accuse me again of asking for support for the Pepsodent Smile guy with a $2:00 haircut. It's just more divisive talk that helps ONLY the Obama team.
The PRIMARY OBJECTIVE is to beat Obama in November. Do what you can to make that happen or help the enemy win. That's the choice we have. It's Obama or Romney - There are plenty of others you can vote for, but there are NO other potential winners in this election, other than Romney or Obama. So, vote for Romney, or cast your vote for anybody else and help Obama win.
THAT is the reality in this election.

Hasn't there been enough of this fact-free cheerleading?
"...but he can't beat Obama in November." BASED ON EXACTLY WHAT FACTS ???

I couldn't agree more! There are plenty of reasons to like Ron Paul, but he can't beat Obama in November. Those who try to rally support for Ron Paul or anyone else at this stage of the game are only helping Obama. So let's ALL get behind the best hope we have of beating Obama and that IS the Romney/Ryan Ticket.

I am really not sure what this is all about, but we should have only one common goal, and that is to beat Barrack Obama in Nov. Seems like we have representation at the convention. Rand Paul, Michelle Bachmann, Rick Santorum, Herman Cain, Mike Huckabee, etc. are speaking. All I know is we do not need dissention, as we need to stick together! There can't be anyone worse than BHO as President. Sue

Are you aware that 11 of the 12 resolutions given to the platform (or old resolutions) committee were accepted by the platform (RNC) committee.?? I will certainly check this out tomorrow at the convention, but I believe this is a lot of hoop la over nothing. These resolutions have already been approved as part of the platform. I invite you all to the reception on Thurs. night in Tampa which Freedom Works is putting on. Matt Kibbe, pres. of F.W. will be speaking. Why don't you join us and ask Matt about this. I certainly will and will report back to you.
How much worse can it get? This is part of what many of us have been complaining about. The Republican establishment does not respect the tea party movement! |
