Run for a seat on the Palm Beach County REC

Dear friend of liberty,

The GOP is changing. As a result of the Ron Paul presidential campaigns and the emergence of the Tea Party, the party is getting younger, more enthusiastic and more committed to personal liberty and limited government. Please help keep this process moving by running for a seat on the Palm Beach County Republican Executive Committee.

Everytime a libertarian wins a party position, the party gets more libertarian. It is as simple as that.

Here's the info from the party:

The terms for all seats on the REC will expire November 30, 2012, and a new REC takes office December 1, 2012.

What that means is: IF you wish to continue to serve on the REC after November 30, MUST register with the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections and Qualify for public office. If you draw an opponent, you WILL be listed on the August primary ballot. If you do not draw an opponent at the end of the qualifying period you will be elected to the seat. The REC Qualifying form that needs to be submitted to the Supervisor Elections Office if you wish to continue on the REC after November 30, 2012 is here:

Please print out and complete the entire form. YES, the phonetic name portion...YES, your voter ID#...YES, your new precinct number AND you will also need to have the form notarized.

The Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections (Delray, West Palm or Palm Beach Gardens office) will be accepting these forms during qualifying week (from noon, June 4, 2012 to noon June 8, 2012).

**You must list your new precinct on the form. The Supervisor of Elections has completed the process of drawing new precincts. To find out your new precinct number please click on the link below, enter your address, then follow the directions on the web page. Please pay attention to the instructions because we have had numerous calls this week in the office and the vast majority of 'I can't find my precinct' is because people are not following instructions and entering the information properly!

Once this form is complete, you are personally responsible (like every elected official) to make sure your paperwork is submitted and received at the Palm Beach County Supervisor's office. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Supervisor's office - they are extremely helpful to candidates.
