What is your hiking experience? (e.g. how long have you been hiking, how often do you get out , where are some of your favorite places, etc.)

My 1st hike was up Washington. Since then I've managed to summit 40+ of the 48, summit Katahdin twice & hike the AT once. Prior to that, I was an avid mountain biker, claiming the GW & Monongahela Nat Forests, along w/ the San Gabriel & Sierra Nevada Mts as my backyard playgrounds.

What type of hikes do you like best? (e.g. day hikes, overnight backpacks, hikes that may involve off-trail "bushwhacking", etc.)

The ones that go up, steeply, for a long time.

What are your hiking goals? (e.g. just like hiking, enjoy being outdoors, looking to finish one of the "lists", etc.)

To continue... for all the obvious reasons: the people, the challenge, the chocolate, the experience, and the rewards; I often give myself a gold star at the end of each hike, sometimes two.

What is the most strenuous/difficult hike that you have done? What made it so tough?

Hiking 17+ miles in 4" of rain, and 80 miles in 3 day's time; the mind: grappling with emotional and/or physical exhaustion.

Do you have any outdoor leadership experience? Would you be interested in organizing and leading your own events with the Random Hikers??

Yes... for over 3 years, I have lead hikes w/ the RI Outdoors Meetup Group.

Creating erosion wherever I go.
