With a robotics simulation program, you can develop the software for your robot before building the actual machine. Gazebo is one of the leading open-source robotics simulators. In this talk, Dylan Vaughn will give an overview of Gazebo and its integration with ROS, the Robot Operating System. We will discuss how to create the necessary files to model a robot within Gazebo and how to interact with it via ROS. We will also load some existing robot definitions into Gazebo and attempt to control them in the virtual environment.
