Gary Samad will be doing his annual presentation on his experiences at the DEFCON security conference held in Las Vegas the previous weekend. This may or may not include information about hacking robots, but it is sure to be entertaining.
In past years he has presented about hacking cars, hacking airplanes, hacking voting systems, hacking locks (learned to pick locks at DEFCON!), hacking DNA, hacking the hackers back, and much more.
Each year after returning from DEFCON Gary ponders whether to be extremely paranoid and move to a cabin in the woods with no WiFi, or to just say "screw it, it's impossible to hide, so just stop worrying." Nah, never stop worrying...
This is a joint presentation with the Mensa Science SIG at lunchtime at BJ's restaurant in La Jolla. Best to be there by 11:30 to find parking, and the presentation will start promptly at 12:00.
