Suggesting this trip to see who is interested in climbing and camping over in Mazama in the North Cascades. Looks to be great variety of climbing, single pitch sport of all ranges, and some great multi pitch routes. Heres a link to the online climbing guide.
Pretty easy to get there, just head North on I-5 to Highway 20 east in Mt. Vernon. Head east on Highway 20 until you get to Mazama.
This looks to be the best camping place, It is first come first serve, so hopefully it isnt full. If any one else has a suggestion on where to stay, (other then a four star hotel!) Let me know.
My plan will be to head over Friday evening after work and be able to get climbing nice and early Saturday morning.
Stuff to Bring:
Essentials: Harness, shoes, water, food, sunblock. Helmets are recommended.
Would be nice to have: Rope, quickdrawers, ATC/grigri, personal anchor, cams, chalk, anchors, slings.
Camping: Tent, food, firewood, sleeping bag.
