Character creation was good. Can't wait for the first session!

This totally blows but I too had to flake at the last minute and I have no issue with the venue at all! But don't take this as an indicator of my willingness to join the game. I am still interested in playing and I will make every effort to attend the next meeting.
sorry, can't make it tonight.
I am so sorry about the last minute notification, but I'm being held up with a work emergency. Hopefully I'll see y'all in a couple of weeks.
To clear tings up Whose Turn Is It, is just for this first meeting. I plan to have subsequent meetings at Dragon's Lair.
Also today was just character creation and going over the system and setting, so you won't need to be on time. Also Whose Turn Is It closes at 9:30PM.
I don't think I will be able to make it either. Whose Turn is it just isn't a convenient location for me. If you guys go back to Dragon's Lair next week you can count me in tho.
Too far south for me. Traffic headed that direction in the afternoon is insane, and I won't get off work until sometime after 6:30p
joseph fender changed the location from Dragon's Lair Comics and Fantasy to Whose Turn Is It? Games

We might have a issue with the venue tomorrow night... it appears there is a event going on at Dragon's Lair and tables are a scarce commodity. Does anyone have a suggestion for a alternate venue or would you like me to move it to next week?

I can't imagine the big new Dragon's Lair being full; must be a heck of an event...There's a place on south Lamar called Whose Turn Is It? Games that I go to. They might have table space available; I'd call them and check. Tell 'em Connor sent you.
I wouldn't be able to make it next week (I will be out of town). I'll be able to make subsequent weeks however.
May I suggest Mothership Books and Games on Parmer just a bit east of MoPac. The owner, Derek, is a stand up guy and their tables are free, first come, first served.
Actually, as I live in south Austin myself, I would like to second Connor's recommendation of Whose Turn Is It? I hear great things about that place, though I've never been.
It looks like the vote is in for Whose Turn Is It. Lets plan for there tomorrow.
Just out of curiousity what version of the rules are you using? Deluxe? SWEX? Earlier?

probably earlier as that is the book I have.
Two things that should be noted...1. This game will be ran on Wednesdays, only day I have free.2. While I will be using some things from the official Wierd War 2 book for Savage Worlds, it will mostly be a Savage Worlds game with a Weird War 2 setting.

A fellow gamer and I were just lamenting that there wasn't enough interest in Savage Worlds in Austin. Really glad to see this, can't wait.
