Saturday dance and swim!

This is a spontaneous, low-structure Meetup for anyone who wants to join an open-air dance at the Opera this Saturday, and maybe do something relaxed afterwards.
I am not running the dance event itself.

There is already a free community dance happening at Operahuset, and I am posting here so people from this group can meet up, go together, and make it easier to show up without going alone.

## The dance

There is a free community dance happening at Operahuset with bachata, salsa, zouk, kizomba, and similar styles.
You do not need a partner, and you do not need experience. You can dance, try a little, or just watch and enjoy the atmosphere.

## What I am offering

• A meet-up point near the Opera so we can find each other
• A friendly group if you would rather not go alone
• An optional, flexible plan after dancing — maybe a swim in the Oslo fjord, food, or something else nearby

We decide together on the day based on weather, energy, and who shows up.

## Who’s welcome

Anyone who wants a relaxed Saturday with nice, spontaneous people.
You can join only for the dance and skip anything afterwards. We will likely speak a mix of English and Norwegian.

## When

Saturday 23 May 2026
Let’s meet around 14:50 near Operahuset so we can find each other before the dance gets going. The community event starts around 15:00.

## Where

Operahuset / Oslo Opera House
Kirsten Flagstads plass 1, 0150 Oslo
Use the Meetup map pin as a rough guide.
The exact meet-up spot — what I am wearing, which side of the building, etc. — will be posted in the WhatsApp group on the day. The dance area itself can be busy, so WhatsApp will make it much easier to find each other.

If you are not on WhatsApp, you can still comment on this Meetup event, but joining the group makes coordination much easier.

## After the dance — optional and flexible

I would like to go for a swim somewhere if the weather is nice, maybe in the Oslo fjord.
Other suggestions are also welcome. We can decide together on the day.

## Cost

The Opera dance is free and community-organised.
Anything afterwards, such as swim entry, food, or drinks, is paid individually.
