(Rotary) A Peace Corps Tale: To Senegal and Back Again

Welcome to our Club Meeting - Rotary today; Wednesday, January 23 at 7pm in Room 123.

All interested and potential members are invited. Also in attendance will be other Rotarians from the area.

Speaker : Nathan Danielsen, Former Peace Corps Volunteer in Senegal.

Nathan will discuss the his experiences from 3.5 years with the Peace Corps in Senegal. He will discuss the mission of the Peace Corps, experiences living in a rural village, recount getting stuck in a food riot in 2007, and his work towards developing and implementing the Master Farmer Project, a USAID-Feed the Future/ Peace Corps special partnership, which was recognized by Hillary Clinton as a model collaboration.

Attire : Business or casual attire is fine

Special Instructions: [Please bring a form of I.D when entering the building as Wilson Building is a government building. Picture I.D can be your driver's license or US or foreign passport].

We will meet at the Wilson Building (Offices of the DC Mayor & DC City Council) in Room 123, 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, DC. We are about 2 blocks from the White House. Please use D Street, NW entrance which is around the building.

Wilson Building is accessible via metrorail which is the Federal Triangle Station (Orange Line) or Metro Center Station (Red, Orange and/or Blue Lines).
