Brief Itinerary: Day 0 (Friday) Reach Delhi. Board Volvo bus to Manali in evening. Overnight bus journey. Day 1 (Saturday); Actual trip starts here Arrive at Manali early in the morning. We start our journey to Keylong. The road goes through Rohtang pass and enters the Lahaul Valley. The rain shadowed region of Himalayas begins here and landscape suddenly changes into dry and erred mountains. It’s a spectacular sight for six hours. Day 2 (Sunday) We begin our journey to Leh early in the morning. We cross several high altitude passes. The landscape turns more and more beautiful at every turn. Those who wish to travel to Leh via flight can reach Leh today. Day 3 (Monday) Acclimatization and sight seeing - Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa, Shey palace and Theksay monastery. Day 4 (Tuesday) Today we begin our journey to Nubra valley which takes us through the highest motorable road on earth - the scenic Khardungla pass. We shall visit the Diskit monastery and the natural sand dunes and see the rare double humped camels. Day 5 (Wednesday) Today we drive back to Leh via Khardungla pass. We will reach by evening. Rest of the day can be spent relaxing. Day 6 (Thursday) We start our journey to the famous Pangong lake, the same lake where the last part of movie 3 idiots was shot. The ever changing colors of the lake are due to the play of light, wind and the clouds. We will pass through Chang La pass. Day 7 (Friday) Drive back to Leh via Chang La pass. We reach Leh by evening. Day 8 (Saturday) We visit the magnetic hill. The illusion makes your car defy the laws of physics and seemingly travel uphill on road against gravity. Later we go for 14km river rafting in the Zanskar river. Rafting ends where Zanskar meets the river Indus. Day 9 (Sunday) Today we say our goodbyes to the beautiful town of Leh and begin our journey home. We catch a flight to our respective destination. It’s located in the Indian state of Rajasthan, in a narrow valley within Aravalli Hills. The mesmerizing step-wells, miniature gold paintings, serene lakes, beautiful temples, colorful bazaars, vintage-style shops, smiling people, blue houses, and the chaos, is the essence of Bundi. Did you know that Bundi is also known as the blue city of eastern Rajasthan? Located at a distance of a few kilometres from Bundi, is the town of Kota. Kota, located on the banks of the Chambal river, has an unexplored and a breathtaking beauty. Did you know that Rajasthan proudly boasts about Kota in its latest tourism ad campaign? Beyond coaching institutions, students, and hostels, Kota is a city dotted by palaces, museums, lakes and gardens which are a proof to its prosperous past. Brief Itinerary: Sunday 04:00 - Reach Haridwar. You can take 12205 Nanda Devi Express from Delhi to reach here. 05:00 - Catch bus/jeep for Badrinath. Enjoy the beautiful road journey along the river Alaknanda. On the way we will come across holy places like Devprayag, Rudraprayag etc. 18:00 - Reach Badrinath and enjoy the holy town. We can go for darshan in evening. Monday This is a relaxing/acclimatization day. We will explore Mana village, which is the last inhabited village on the road leading to Badrinath. Later drive to Govindghat (one hour) which is the embarking point of the trek. We will see streams flowing through the road and roaring river alongside the road. Tuesday 05:30 - Start trekking towards Ghangaria. This is 14 km uphill trek and needs 7-8 hrs to complete. We will do it with ease while enjoying the nearby scenery. Trekking along River Pushpavati for first 9 kms is amazingly beautiful. The last 4 kms are slightly steeper. Some rare species of birds and tailless rats can be seen here. 14:00 - Reach Ghangaria and check-in hotel. Hotels in Ghangaria serve very tasty north indian food. Wednesday 07:00 - Start trekking to Sri Hemkund Sahib. The high altitude lake at 13500 ft is a treat for nature lovers. This 6 km trek is quite steep but worth it with sights of flowers like blue poppies, vajradanti and brahmakamal. 17:00 - Come back to Ghangaria and enjoy the rest of the evening as per the convenience of group. Thursday 06:00 - Early breakfast and then enter and the valley of flowers checkpoint. Your ears are blessed with sounds of chirping birds and rhythmic flowing water with no pollution. We will have packed lunch at the Pushpawati River bed. 14:00 - Start trekking back to Ghangaria 17:00 - Come back to Ghangaria and enjoy the rest of evening as per the convenience of group. Friday 08:00 - Start trekking back to Govindghat. 15:00 - Have lunch at Govindghat. Govindghat is a peaceful place to stroll in evening. Also enjoy the tea and prasad at Gurudwara Saturday 06:00 - Take the first bus to Haridwar 18:00 - Reach Haridwar before evening. We will do some shopping or time pass in Haridwar till midnight.
