Что мы из себя представляем

Welcome to Metropolitan Walkers, the largest London-based Ramblers group for people in their 20s and 30s.

We’re a very active group. Our volunteers lead walks every weekend, ranging from short, leisurely walks to strenuous hikes of 17+ miles across hilly terrain. We also lead one evening stroll during the week, discovering different parts of the capital.

We explore the beautiful areas near London such as the North Downs, south coast and Chilterns, all of which are accessible by public transport.

A lot of our members walk regularly, which is a great way to form friendships, especially as we love to end our walks in a good pub. As well as walking, we have a packed social programme, including restaurant meals, ceilidh dancing, live music nights, theatre visits and a monthly pub evening.

We regularly run weekends away to explore the other great walking areas the UK has to offer, such as the Lake District, Snowdonia and Scotland, and have also put on several trips abroad.

We’re part of the Ramblers – the charity that helps everyone, everywhere, enjoy walking; and protects the places we all love to walk.

If you've not walked with us before, you’re welcome to come along on three free walks before becoming a member, to see if the Metropolitan Walkers is for you! Membership is just £34.50 per year, or £20.50 concessionary rate.

There is no need to book in advance, you can just turn up on the day.

*Note* On average, there are 25 people who attend each of our walks. We use Meetup as a way of promoting our walks, so don’t be alarmed to see only a few attendees in the walk’s guestlist! The majority of our members find our walks through our website: https://www.metropolitan-walkers.org.uk/walks/upcoming-walks.html
