Change of place again! :) Let's try the "Shokoladnitsa" cafe at Barrikadnaya, metro exit #2, to the right and right in front of the metro! Look for the table with the Meetup sign :) [be sure to enter Shokoladnitsa on the left, and NOT CoffeeHouse!]

There are two things I like - books and languages! And I like meet-ups! :) And you? If that's true about you, too, let's combine and have the best of both worlds! ;)
---------------------------------------------------
So, here are THE INGREDIENTS:
THE CLASSICAL BOOK-SWAP EVENT goes like this: people meet in a cafe, bring along a book they want to share or tell about, and put this book on the table. So we get a table full of books with book-lovers around it! Book-lovers willing to get to know each other and chat about books - those they brought, those they read, those they heard of - and not only! Actually, we end up talking about whatever comes to mind. :)
*Like here - https://www.meetup.com/DublinBookSwap/ (it was my sources of inspiration in the first place)
THE CLASSICAL LANGUAGE EXCHANGE EVENT (a.k.a. polyglot club): people meet in a cafe (notice the similarity?), and practice as many languages as they can! ;)
WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO? BOTH!
While cafe and socializing is already a common trait, we bring books in different languages and chat about them in different languages!
-----------F.A.Q.-----------
Q: What are the languages of this meetup?
A: Any! The more the better! Bring books in any language you want and chat in any language you want (you don't have to be a native speaker, especially if are learning a language and want to practice - do it!)
Q: How do we know which language to speak?
A: Each participant will have a name shield with his\her name (duh!) upon which he will also have to note the languages he\she knows! Like here (https://ibb.co/dC0gLe)
*If you know where these are from - tell me when we meet, if you guess correctly - I owe you a candy! ;)
Q: What to bring?
A: Bring books! Any book, in any language, is welcome - a book that is looking for a new home, a book that you want to tell about, a book that you want to show, a book that you hated and want to tell us why, big and small, light or heavy, new and old - all will find their place on our coffee table and in a friendly new home, if it is looking for one. :)
Q: Will my book be back to me?
A: Well, theoretically, it might, if you exchange contacts with the one who takes it and make sure that you meet again. :) In practice, however, especially if participants are from different countries, the books tend to travel too far away to be returnable... So if you are not ready to part from your book - make it clear (write on a sticky note, for example) that it's just for "acquaintance purposes" and not for exchange.
Q: And what if... what if you don't have a book? What if just this time it happened so that there is no book in your bag, book that you want to show right now - can you come?
A: But of course, you can! You can, and you are welcome to fix the situation - though you came without a book, maybe you will leave with one :)
See you all soon,
Alisa
