What we're about

* (仮) means temporary/subject to change.

Hi guys. I'm Rudo. I have been organizing language exchanges and meetups for almost 5 years.

In this meetup Japanese students will learn English, and English speakers will learn Japanese. Simple. Every meetup is structured in a way that allows everyone to study, while still being fun and relaxing. You will always learn something new.

I will also be hosting seminars and workshops for Japanese students from time to time here. Proceeds from this meetup will go towards funding Toronto Seikatsu Support, a company I created to help Japanese students in Toronto.

Note: If you are non-Japanese, you must either be either a Native or Advanced level English speaker to participate. The reason is, in exchange for getting taught Japanese, you must be able to teach English back to your partner. If you don't fit this requirement, I recommend one of the other numerous Japanese/English social groups on Meetup. Thanks for your understanding!

Thank you to everyone for attending my meetup! It's only been 3 months and yet our events keep filling up more and more each time; a mix of old and new faces, people seriously studying English and Japanese, and just having fun. It isn't easy to run a meetup, especially one like this, but that you all keep coming, and how many of you say "thank you!", it really keeps me going. For this event, I have the bottom floor room booked (same as Sunday). Let's socialize and get to know each other better. I'll order pizza (we'll divide the cost) and provide a few drinks and snacks. You are welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks as well. If you are interested in coming, please join the waitlist, and if you can join I will move you to 'going'. We have space for about 20~ people. Any questions or concerns please message me! Otherwise, see you soon! :)
