Along the lake and through Lincoln Park. My favorite stretch is at Montrose, getting off the bike trail and following the gravel path along the lake.
5 miles would be about average. Last year I trained for the NYC marathon, so my mileage was way up then. I'm now in for 2014, and this year hoping to spend more time on technique as opposed to distance.
To be more consistent and stay in shape this year before training for the NYC marathon next year. I usually run with my husband, but he is getting quite a bit faster than me, so I'm looking for running buddies who are comfortable at a slower pace (around 11 minute miles).
