Elvis is Alive - Update - New Course and New Start Time

From: Jill

IMPORTANT - LOCATION CHANGE

Fleet Feet Sports Elvis Is Alive 5K
Thursday, August 7

6:45pm Start*

Grant Park, near the Columbia Yacht Club

This Thursday's Elvis Is Alive 5K has been relocated. The event, which was scheduled to take place in Upper Hutchinson Field, has been moved to the northeast edge of Grant Park.

The race will now start and finish on the lakefront bike path between Randolph and Monroe. The race site can be found just west of the Columbia Yacht Club.

*The race start will be delayed 15 minutes from the original 6:30pm start time to provide participants extra time to reach the race site.

The move was necessitated by the late addition of a Chicago Bears pre-season game on Thursday evening. We were greatly concerned runners' progress would be impeded by the amount of foot traffic near the Museum Campus - and moved the race in the hopes of guaranteeing a positive experience for all of our participants.
