Sunday Trail Run - Red Rocks/Dakota Ridge Loop

This trail run will be on the Red Rocks/Dakota Ridge Loop, mapping in at 5.9 miles. While I've never run this before, a handy guide says it has great views of Morrison and Denver as well as red rocks. It should be a moderate and smooth grade. I'm hoping the sun isn't too harsh and the wind too strong, but it should be fun. Be sure to bring water and sunscreen. We'll hit the trail at 6:15, but I'll aim to arrive by 6. We should be done in 1.5 hours. Basic directions: From the junction of C-470 and I-70, travel I-70 Westbound for 1.0 mile to the Morrison exit (exit 259). Take the exit, turn left (South) and travel 0.25 miles to the entrance of the Matthews/Winters Park, which is on the right. If this lot is full, use the Stegosaurus lot across the road and slightly north. Look for a tan Toyota Tacoma and your organizer. :)

Jesse, running up hill is the fun of trail runs! :) We'll have a vote at the trail head to determine the "attack."
