Good to hear from you Dianne. I think it was right around that two years ago that I last heard from you (Fremont 5K/June 2012).  Kristin had mentioned to me once or twice that things were continuing to be difficult for you.  So glad you are recently finding the energy to get out and do what will help the most, exercise!

Not a problem at all to keep your info on the site.  It would be great to see you when it works out well for you.

Being a diabetic yourself, I'll add this note that I sent to non meetup site members and some of my American Diabetes Association acquaintances:
************************

This year we would especially love to see Type 1 diabetics if they are out running/walking.  Since I’ve recently passed 50 years with the condition (there are more historical Olympic Gold medalists than 50 year Type 1 diabetics!) I am working hard to get more persons with diabetes involved in demonstrating that with determination and passion we can all come closer to achieving what we were created to be.

We have also added “The Pizza Lunch Mile” and will see a Male and Female World Best established (as this event has never been held!).  Entry is free for any paid entrants that want to participate at the conclusion of flights and prior to passing out all the cash!

Hope to see you there as my health continues to really limit my social agenda.  It’s a GREAT opportunity to see old friends.  If I don’t see you I’ll try to friend you on Facebook, unless you beat me to it!

***********************

Event is Saturday, August 2nd, at Nathan Hale if you can make it.

Again, great to hear from you and look forward to seeing you again.

Richard, I hope you'll keep me on the list. I'm in my second week of back to running after two years of doing hardly any exerciser of any kind at all. Long story... but I'm working my way back. I could commit to the social times and when I'm up to the slowest pace of the group, I'll come back for a slow group run.

If you don't want to keep me on the list, I hope it would be okay to rejoin when I'm back in condition.

Thanks!

We will be trimming a few member accounts from our RS4L group that have been sitting on the site without activity.
In doing that it gives us the opportunity to invite you to any of our upcoming events:
  1. The RS4L Mile Time Trial Classic on August 2nd is a golden opportunity to join us in an event that is social, rewarding at many levels, low-key, etc. to get the flavor of what we try to create for our members.
  2. We continue to train for a variety of races and/or continue our running development/general fitness at Wednesday Night Intervals at Nathan Hale.
  3. Sunday Runs continue from a rotating number of locations to enjoy new routes and new friends at a conversational pace with others that love to run.
  4. Every month or two we hold a social gathering (no running involved!) that also tends to rotate amongst a number of sites, generally in the North Seattle vicinity.
Regardless of your future participation we wish you GREAT running in the future!
