Are you a native/heritage speaker or a learner of Russian? If you are a learner, how long have you been studying?

I have been speaking Russian for nearly 8! I can't believe it's been that long:)

Have you ever been to a Russian-speaking country?

I've lived in a few places in Russia and I currently travel to Azerbaijan for work.

What are your favorite Russian foods? Books? Music? Artists?

I enjoy "classics", but also love to hear/read/see new artists, writer, and musicians. New York was great for that, & I hope to find Russian events in DC too. For food, Borscht, of course. And sometimes you just gotta have some pelmeni w/ smetana:)

Privet! My name is Elle and I recently moved to DC from NYC. I lived in Russia for a couple of years, but am currently a bit rusty and would love to get a chance to practice the language, meet cool people, and attend Russian cultural activities.
