What's this, you say? Another event already ready? Madness! Yet here we are.

In March, you'll be joining us at Vaco to hear from Jeannel King, one of San Diego's very finest visual practitioners, for an interactive and engaging talk:

Good Infographic, Bad Infographic

It seems like everyone is visualizing information with infographics nowadays...but is every infographic effective? What distinguishes a good infographic from a bad one? And how can you avoid adding to the avalanche of bad infographics out in the world?

In this session, you will:
• Understand the true function of an infographic
• Explore why our brains like infographics
• Discover the four foundational components of a good infographic
• Practice leveraging each of these components for your own infographics and audience

About Jeannel

Jeannel King is a graphic facilitator and stick figure strategist based in San Diego, CA. Her company, Big Picture Solutions, is a management consulting firm specializing in leveraging visual thinking for massive business results. A past president of the International Forum of Visual Practitioners, Jeannel's clients include Dell, Accenture, TaylorMade, Cubic, and the San Diego County Office of Education.

We're lucky on all fronts this month - besides being very fortunate to hear from Jeannel, we'll be hosted at Vaco LLC, a staffing firm in La Jolla that's getting serious about building a relationship with the UX community. They have a killer event space, and if we can bring the people, they promised to bring the party - if you went to February's UX Speakeasy, you know what they're capable of.

Park in the structure near the 4250 building, and bring your ticket inside for validation.
