Location visible to members
We've been training for this by doing Training Hill and/or Kick Ass and Boot Buster Hills. So, now we are combining all three!
We will meet at the green gate for Training Hill (gate #150) - we will hike up Training Hill and back down, as quickly as we can.
At the bottom of Training Hill, we will turn RIGHT (at the sign), and this trail will drop us down onto Hwy. 49, where we will cross the road and go right onto the Quarry Trail, which leads us up to Boot Buster Hill. After we complete that loop, we will cross the confluence and head up Kick Ass Hill, cross the Foresthill Bridge, and come back down on the Bridge View Trail and back to our cars.
Those who wish to complete all three hills will be in for quite a workout and should bring plenty of water, a headlamp and gloves. The hike is estimated to be about 10 miles long and at least 4 hours to complete, and maybe longer. So we will likely be hiking the last stretch after dark.
Due to the location of our parked cars (near gate #150), anyone can choose to do just one or two of the hills, as we will be walking by, or near, the cars after each hill.
