Learn and Practice Mindful Awareness.

This style of meditation has been practiced for 2,600 years.
Although the fundamentals of this practice are rooted in Buddhism, our group has no particular religious affiliations.

Mindfulness teaches us about ourselves, our thoughts, our emotions and how and why we experience our lives the way we do. Through this awareness, we can learn to cultivate a calm and peaceful mind instead of habitually reacting to to the stress and chaos of everyday life. This technique also has wonderful physical benefits in addition to supporting spiritual development leading to inner peace and happiness.

About the Organizer
Karen Miller has diligently practiced mindfulness for 12 years and a variety of meditation techniques for 20+ years. She is a Certified Mindfulness Teacher both through the Mindfulness Training Institute and the International Mindfulness Teacher’s Association (IMTA). Karen has taught Mindfulness Meditation to individuals and groups in the Sacramento area for the past 6 years. She is also the Organizer of the Sacramento Reiki Meetup Group.

Mid-Week Mindfulness

Join us from wherever you are for a mid-week break.

We're going to be a bit fluid this month, and allow each week's theme to arise in the moment. So much is contained in each moment, and it can be a wonderful practice to be fully present and allow things to unfold naturally instead of planning all the details. This is a good time to bring your questions about meditation or mindfulness, and a sense of curiosity to your practice, whether you are new to it or an experienced practitioner.

This is a short Mid-Week Mid-Day gathering to meditate and cultivate mindful awareness together.

Join us if you...
-Have wanted to join a meditation group but don't have a lot of time.
-Are looking for ways to incorporate mindful breaks during the week.
-Would like to meet fellow meditators and have support in your practice.

Appropriate for beginners as well as experienced meditators. There will be light instruction/guidance and opportunity for questions/discussion. Each week will be tailored to those present and the needs of the group.

We will begin promptly at noon so please arrive on time! We'll wrap up by 12:30, so feel free to sign off then or stick around for a few minutes to chat if you'd like a little more mindful connection in your week!
