Learn and Practice Mindful Awareness.
This style of meditation has been practiced for 2,600 years.
Although the fundamentals of this practice are rooted in Buddhism, our group has no particular religious affiliations.
Mindfulness teaches us about ourselves, our thoughts, our emotions and how and why we experience our lives the way we do. Through this awareness, we can learn to cultivate a calm and peaceful mind instead of habitually reacting to to the stress and chaos of everyday life. This technique also has wonderful physical benefits in addition to supporting spiritual development leading to inner peace and happiness.
About the Organizer
Karen Miller has diligently practiced mindfulness for 12 years and a variety of meditation techniques for 20+ years. She is a Certified Mindfulness Teacher both through the Mindfulness Training Institute and the International Mindfulness Teacher’s Association (IMTA). Karen has taught Mindfulness Meditation to individuals and groups in the Sacramento area for the past 6 years. She is also the Organizer of the Sacramento Reiki Meetup Group.
