SLC 912 - Labor of Love Project!

A former member
Hi Everyone!

This summer thousands of people will be in Utah, our backyard, to attend Glenn Beck’s Man in the Moon July 4-6. We hope to see many from the Salt Lake 912 Project there. Ahead of Man in the Moon, a group from all over the country (half the states represented in more than 100 RSVPs) will be serving together in the Salt Lake area July 1-2, and then gathering for a barbecue and the Oakley rodeo on July 3. The Service Event is called Labor of Love Utah, and more information can be found on Facebook at https://www.facebook.....

Several people who helped put together Project Lemonade at Wheeler Farm last June are also involved in this event. Labor of Love Utah is organized by a core group (Red Bus A) who met in Israel at Restoring Courage, and have served together in both Joplin and Dallas since then. If you want to find out more about their adventures, check out a video prepared by The Blaze last summer for Restoring Love.

This is a great option for getting to know people with whom you will have lots in common, to involve yourself and your family in service projects in OUR community, and to reinvest in our nation at the most personal level possible as you and your family celebrate Independence Day. We may also do a second annual Lemonade Stand if we can get enough local support!

A local organizer of the service event - Susan Selim and her family, were involved in Project Lemonade, Labor of Love Joplin and she was part of the original group in Israel. Susan would like to invite any of you who have an interest in serving with Labor of Love Utah this summer or would like to assist in the planning of the various projects to contact her (she could use some help). You can reach her via the event page on Facebook, by email at or by registering on the networking message board
