I love the podcasts

Coffee Break Spanish

Show Time Spanish

Coffee Break Spanish is for beginners and Show Time Spanish is for intermediate speakers.  I especially enjoy Show Time Spanish, because I am at that level, but not quite at the level where I can follow native speakers on normal tv shows.  They slow down and speak clearly, but they explain everything in the language.  Radio Lingua also has podcasts for other languages and I am really impressed with all of them. I highly recommend Radio Lingua.

Subject: [saltlakecityspanish] Amazing

¡Hola Amigos!

I have spent a fair amount of money over the years on Spanish programs, courses, etc., but nowadays there is an AMAZING amount of FREE content available that you can use to learn and/or improve your Spanish.  Not only that, there are bloggers and Spanish learners who COMPILE lists of resources and just make these listing available ... it sure seems that there are a lot of people in the world with a lot of time on their hands, and I appreciate them! I have spent hours and hours investigating various resources, and honestly I cannot keep up with it all.

Nonetheless, today I would like to share with you a few links that are VERY helpful.

This guy is a Spanish Learner who has posted links to more than 60 sites, and many of the sites are very helpful.  Here is the link to his blog article that shows the sites,

This site is selling stuff to be sure, but on this page you can listen to interviews in Spanish with people from various countries (but alas, you can download these conversations):

This site is doing what I have been trying to do with, however they are doing it much better than me; it is hard to compete with universities that fund projects, check it out:

Nonetheless, I have not given up on, and in fact I have completed reformatted the site and recently doubled the amount of images available.  However, I think I will be moving to helping people learn both English and Spanish, and I have several ideas for making it helpful ... ultimately, it will probably just be a labor of love that remains FREE.

This site is also selling stuff, but on this page you can find free videos COMPLETE WITH THE TRANSCRIPTS that are targeted toward intermediate and advanced learners.

I have also found some REALLY COOL and FREE podcasts that are now on my iPod ... here are links to the websites, but you can find these in iTunes:

My focus for the next several months will be using some of these sites, listening to podcasts, improving my vocabulary using the super cool and free website and app, and improving my use of the Subjunctive ... and speaking of the Subjunctive, here are two sites that might help you:

Finally, last year I initialled missed passing by less than 1 point the DELE exam level B1(which was very disappointing), but after appealing the results I was thrilled to find out (8 months later) that they granted my appeal and so I PASSED!!!  So, this year I plan to take another DELE exam, probably B2 but I may even jump up to take the C1 exam -- nothing ventured, nothing gained, eh Amigos!

¡Que el vaya bien para siempre!
