The Gasparilla Children's Parade on Saturday, January 18, 2014 is an alcohol-free event for our "Little Bellamies". The Children Love it. If you are interested in participating, space is limited. An adult must accompany each child. Adults must sign waivers for themselves and their children as required by the State.
Members are to park at the Fort Brooke Garage at Whiting St. between Jackson and Florida Ave. and be ready to be picked up by our bus at 1:00 pm SHARP. If you are not on board at the departure time, we will not wait as we must be at line-up on time. We suggest arriving no later than 12:30 pm to get a parking spot and to get down to the bus and to board.
We will transport you to the line-up area. The parade will go down Bayshore, stop for those that want to disembark at Watrous Ave. and then continue over the Platt Street Bridge and deposit you again at the Fort Brooke Garage. The Gasparilla Extravaganza Piratechnics Show starts at 7:00 pm at Howard Ave. and Bayshore Blvd. but will be visible throughout most of Bayshore Blvd. Children wear a gold pirate shirt and black pants, socks and shoes or any gold/black pirate costume variation. Adults must wear a loaner blouse/shirt ($50.00 deposit by check refunded uncashed when returned in good condition).
The Apprentice Membership ("Matey") fee is only $51.50 for one adult with child when you pay online. Mateys may participate in one parade per year as an Apprentice Member. We provide soft drinks, water, food and cake.
We will contact you with additional details and waivers per email.
Yours in Piracy,
