Off-Terrain Movement and Agility Training: Primitive Scout Physical Conditioning
April 5th, 6:30 pm, register online here.
Whether you are training for a survival race or marathon, want to improve your physical coordination, become comfortable moving outdoors at night with ease or want to move forward in the Scout program, this 2 - 3 hour class will help you to gain confidence with outdoor movement.
The Scout moves quickly, quietly and with ease in the darkness. This comes from being comfortable with moving over uneven and challenging terrain, from testing physical stamina and from improving awareness to become part of the environment.
This year we are introducing a physical conditioning class specific to the Scout program. If you have been interested in that course, or if you have already gone through either the Urban Scout or Primitive Scout -- this is a course that will help prepare you for upcoming scout routine scenarios. This is open to everyone, regardless of whether you want to continue on the Scout path. We must have a minimum of 5 enrolled students to run this class.
This is a class that would run everyone through general scout conditioning. This would include running on all terrains, movement through the woods (crouch walking, crawling, prone crawl), water movement, and climbing. This class will last approximately 2 - 3 hours at dusk, at an appropriate intensity. All movements would be focused on scouting specific movement, strength, and endurance necessities.
Date: Saturday April 5th, 6:30 pm *will go until approximately 8:30 - 9.
Cost: $20/each Pay Online Here.
Location: San Antonio Outdoor Classroom (for first class)
*This physical conditioning class will be in advance of several scout mission classes that will be scheduled this year in the San Antonio and Austin area.
