Have you always wanted to visit Machu Picchu? Join us August 31-September 8, 2019 for a trip of a lifetime! Experience the majesty of Machu Picchu, learn about the ancient city of Cusco, and soak in local culture through the Inca trail hike or a no-hike option with excursions in the Sacred Valley.

Join our community & culture focused journey to one of the most iconic sites in South America. We'll start off by adjusting to the elevation while learning about Andean culture, local foods, and the Quechua language. Then, the hikers in our group will embark on on the 4-day classic Inca trail hike with our local guide Edwin. The rest will explore the Sacred Valley, visiting the ancient sites of Pisaq, Salineras salt mines, Moray and more as well as enjoy a farm lunch and cookout. On September 6th, the hikers and non-hikers will meet at Machu Picchu for a guided tour of the city to learn about Incan culture. It will be a trip to remember!

All Itineraries:

8 nights’ accommodations in boutique, centrally located hotels • Daily breakfast, 6 dinners, 3 lunches (hiking) or 1 lunch (non-hiking)

• Transfers to/from Cusco airport

• All transportation between Cusco, Ollantaytambo, and group excursions

• Cultural exchange with our community partner to learn about the preservation of the Quechua language + contribution to their organization

• Entry fee to Machu Picchu + bus to/from Aguas Calientes + train to Ollantaytambo

• Healthy, nourishing meals using traditional ingredients and local sourcing

Hiking option:

4 days/3 nights hiking the classic Inca trail to Machu Picchu • Healthy, nourishing meals prepared by our on-site cook, starting with breakfast on departure day to breakfast on last day of the hike

• Clean, potable water throughout the hike

• A team of local porters to carry provided tents, chairs, food, medical emergency kit and other equipmentSleeping mat provided (you will carry)

• Entry fee to the Inca Trail and Machu Picchu

• Bus ticket from Machu Picchu to Aguas Calientes + train ticket from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo

• Option for a full or half porter to carry some or all of your suppliesLocal guides 24/7
