Welcome to the Intermediate ride field trip to Rancho Penasquitos! This group is geared towards more experienced riders comfortable with their mountain bike on blue and (optional) black difficulty trails.

This is a no-drop, intermediate paced ride around some of the best trails San Diego has to offer with time to work on some more advanced skills. The ride is from 5:30pm - 7:30pm, with frequent stops to evaluate and practice features and obstacles. Average distance is 5 - 15 miles with \~500-1500 ft elevation gain.

We will meet at the West end of Canyonside Park. Do not park in the dirt lot, it will be closed by the time we get back!

Mountain biking can be a dangerous sport, and learning new skills can be challenging. Always wear a helmet, bring plenty of water and if any part of the trail is above your ability and/or comfort zone it is okay to walk it.
