Check out the fun photos and videos from Priscilla Queen of the Desert at the link!

We will be walking in the San Diego LGBT Pride Parade with Broadway/San Diego! All ages, gay, straight, anyone and everyone are welcome to join in the fun! Come enjoy the festivities while helping to promote local theatre and receive two free tickets to Priscilla Queen of the Desert!

If you didn't email me your name by Friday at 1:00 PM, I just got word that you are welcome to still join us and can get two free tickets. You will just need to meet us at the Parade spot itself. However, I have been told there is a lot of free parking in Hillcrest and free shuttle services to and from the parade. Our parade spot is #102 in Zone K on Center Street. Look for the truck running video of San Diego/Broadway shows, along with the "Priscilla" RV, all dressed up to represent the show, Priscilla Queen of the Desert.

More information about free public parking and free shuttles is at the link below. Our spot is closest to the area marked "1" with a PURPLE CIRCLE on the map.

If you have questions, email me at [masked] before 8:15 AM on Saturday. That is the last time I will be checking email before leaving.

FREE parking is available with Broadway/San Diego for all walkers that emailed me by 1:00 on Friday, as there will be just enough for those people. It is located off of fourth. Go beside their building then around to the back to the parking lot. That's where we will be meeting. Please arrive at the parking lot behind the Broadway/San Diego building by 9:15 AM. A free shuttle will takes us from the parking lot to our actual parade spot by 9:30 AM. Some streets will be closed and their may be traffic, since it is such a busy day. Please allow for extra travel time, so you can arrive at the parking lot by 9:15 AM.

If you are unable to arrive before the free shuttle leaves the parking lot, come find us in line. We will be #102 in Zone K on Center Street. Look for the truck running video of San Diego/Broadway shows, along with the "Priscilla" RV, all dressed up to represent the show, Priscilla Queen of the Desert.

As I have mentioned in several previous emails, I was contacted by the theatre group, Broadway/San Diego. They are looking for people to walk by their vehicles with them in the San Diego Pride Parade this Saturday, to help promote their upcoming production of Priscilla Queen of the Desert, coming to The Civic Theatre October 15 - 20th . They have offered to give each person that walks in the parade with them two FREE tickets to the show. We will be attending on Wednesday, October 16th. The Wednesday night show will be followed by a Chat Back session with the actors! We had so much fun at the Talkback session following Tribes last week that I am really looking forward to this one!

The parade is this Saturday, July 13th from 11 AM to 2 PM and they are asking that people meet at their parade spot at 9:30 AM. They have pink PRISCILLA t-shirts for people to wear and they can provide free parking for everyone at their office building.

This is open to anyone and everyone, so invite your friends! People don't have to be group members to participate.

Meet at 9:15am at the parking lot if you contacted me by Friday afternoon or meet us by 10:00 AM at the Parade Spot#102 in Zone K on Center Street I know that they will be closing parts of Hillcrest and certain streets so please allow time for possible traffic delays. If we know who is coming, then we can make sure to not leave anyone behind once we leave BSD to go to our parade spot.

Attire – Broadway/San Diego will be providing shirts for everyone to wear that represent Priscilla Queen of the Desert. They would love for people to dress up or have fun with the rest of their wardrobe or if you have something in mind that does not require a Priscilla shirt (i.e.  a fantastic full costume) do it! They welcome wigs, wild makeup, props and anything else that is fun! I would recommend comfortable shoes because we will be walking but it is up to you. It is a parade, so there will be walking and stopping along the way. I would also recommend sunglasses for those who are sensitive to the sunlight and SUNSCREEN. Hats and umbrellas are other suggestions if you want a break from the sun.

o Weather is looking to be a lovely 72 degrees on Saturday.

Signs and Beads – We will have lots of Priscilla Bead Necklaces to toss out to the crowds as well as signs to carry (not heavy, of course) to represent BSD.
