What's in this for you

Greetings tech leaders!

I hope all is well with you.  I want to tell you a little more about the intent of the Whiteboard Sessions and focus on what's in it for you.  There are so many opportunities to meet up with like minded people these days that it bares discussing how our group will be any different to established communities and get togethers in and around San Diego.

The purpose of SDCTO is to establish a tight knit group of tech leaders who are executing on the strategy of their respective companies, contributing to the growth of their peers and affecting change in the city of San Diego through technology.  Achieving these goals will be a fruit of increased accountability, commitment and transparency towards each other at a level that might be at odds with the more casual groups out there.

The mechanism SDCTO will employ to achieve these goals, is both public facing and private.  The public facing dinners will be a fun way to get to know new people and companies whereas the private Whiteboard Sessions will allow for a more secure environment in which to grow as the chief technology partner that you are.  This growth will not always come as a result of what's happening inside your group, but rely also on outside facilitation and consultation.

I can assure you that this won't be the next sausage fest or old boys club where a secret handshake will make you feel good about yourself.  It's about one question, "How can I be a better CTO?".  Membership to SDCTO is open to anyone who has someone calling them their chief leader in technology.  Going to a Whiteboard Session will never be compulsory to be a part of this group, but it will always be strongly encouraged.

Yours sincerely
