"Grateful Dead 'Beat Club' 4/21/72" Concert Movie $12.50 AMC MV. Th Jul 17 7:30!

I may have to be out of town, and so this event maybe re-posted to a "No-Host" meetup, but if someone cares to lead from the front and formally take the hosting reins it would be welcome by me!

(The film is also showing at Horton Plaza, Mira Mesa, likely San Marcos, and maybe others too).  I think it'd be best to get together Not Later Than 7:10pm! I probably will enjoy a beer/cider at the Tilted Kilt in the mall beforehand.... Everyone please feel welcome to join me over there too (maybe say 5:45pm?)!

Special Fathom Features: A big screen presentation of the never-before-seen complete live studio performance in its entirety. PLUS experience an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the making of an upcoming Grateful Dead release featuring Bob Weir & Jeffrey Norman, directed by Justin Kreutzmann.

Fathom Events and Rhino Records are ecstatic to bring the Grateful Dead back for the fourth annual Meet-Up at the Movies on Thursday, July 17 at 7:30 p.m. (local time).

This year’s Meet-Up features the never-before-seen and blistering Beat Club studio performance in its entirety. Captured live for Bremen, West Germany’s Beat Club TV program during the band’s legendary 1972 European tour, the performance features the band in their prime and playing at the height of their powers. This special one-night event features video restored from the original broadcast 2” quad video and audio mixed and mastered from the original analog tapes. The set list for this larger-than-life performance includes Bertha, Sugaree, Playing In The Band, Truckin'>Drums>Other One, Mr. Charlie and more!

Don’t miss this Grateful gathering in cinemas Thursday, July 17 only!

Last night's "Dead" wasn't much to write home about, several pieces redone; but it was filmed in a studio. It more or less was a behind the curtain view of a session at The Midnight Special. Apparently next year will be footage from 1990 shows which Bob Weir considers were at the band's best musicianship.
