Hola San Diego Vegans!!! I am going 100% raw for 2014 and would love to host a casual get together with fellow raw foodies to share healthy food and inspire each other.
I would like to open up my home in Hillcrest where we can meet. 10 people maximum (as I have about 700 sq ft available but with an awesome kitchen). Everyone 18 or older is welcome (vegan or meat eaters), but I am looking for people to share a small raw vegan dish of their choice. It is ok bring up to two guests and I have some parking available inside my building but street parking would be preferred.
Guests can contact me on my cell and I can buzz them in and give them my unit #. My cell will be emailed the day before the meetup. Please keep your RSVP current as seating is limited.
Thank you and I look forward to meeting you :)
NOTE FROM JM:
Here's more information for anyone interested in learning more about raw food: http://en.wikipedia.o... (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raw_veganism) "Raw veganism is a diet that combines the concepts of veganism and raw foodism. It excludes all food and products of animal origin, as well as food cooked at a temperature above 48 °C (118 °F). A raw vegan diet includes raw vegetables and fruits, nuts and nut pastes, grain and legume sprouts, seeds, plant oils, sea vegetables, herbs, and fresh juices. There are many different versions of the diet, including fruitarianism, juicearianism, and sproutarianism. The definition of a raw vegan diet can be loosened to include vegan diets with at least 75–80% raw foods."
