This was horrible. I will not purchase food from them again. I made a reservation & pd $26 to pick up food at 7 pm to take home to eat on Thanksgiving. I got there at 7 pm, and was told by a somewhat rude woman that I would have to wait because the food was not ready. I told her that I did not know that there would be a wait (the instructions had not mentioned this) so I had made plans to be somewhere else at 7:30. She was quite perturbed with me, and said she would check on it. She then came to me and gave me a meal, stating that it "was someone else's, but we will give it to you." I did notice that the container felt lukewarm, but really did not think about it. I got it home and when I opened the container...the food was cold and dry. It was not cold from refrigeration, but from sitting out. So I think I got a 5 pm meal that no one had picked up. Food poisoning from sitting out? Then I tasted it...it was all so salty, that I just threw the entire meal away. $26 down the drain. Waste!

As you may have noted from other reviewers, there was some confusion and communication issues with the event that can be easily remedied on all upcoming plans for similar types of specialty events. If the event is to be a meetup, it is important to require pre-payment that is processed through Meetup. If the event providers don't like the terms of Meetup payment acceptance, that set up the event as an evening of activities that does NOT include payment, but clearly note in the Meetup event post that those who want the "extra" provided services (such as "catered" food) must prepay directly with that service provider.

These suggestions might be useful, or they may not. But they are merely suggestions freely offered with intention of enhancing the Meetup experience for all interested members of the Meetup group(s).

This is not a meetup? Replying "Yes" to attend is not a guarantee of getting a seat and a meal? I only have limited online access at this time, so I am. Not sure how this meetup is organized. I am planning to attend as soon as I get off work and can get to the meetup site. I also don't understand why the meetup is scheduled at 5 pm and again at 7 pm. I'll check for response later today 11/20/12. Thank you. - Steve

There were enough for 6 extra meals which we started serving at 8pm.

I am dealing with liver disease and can't just wait around until 8:30 pm or 9:00 pm to find out if there are "extra servings". I asked the cooking staff at 8:00 pm what their best estimate on extra servings, and they said there were 25 paid, and they had enough to make 25. Only if some of the 25 who paid didn't show up would there be extra servings. And, based on the 5:00 seating, they estimated that all 25 paid would indeed show up. Thus, it was just not reasonable, given my "fading fast" from ongoing effects of liver disease to wait for 8:30 or 9:00 pm to learn if there would be extras. I'd already been there an hour as it was, standing out in the cold and shivering, with weakness and fatigue setting in. The organizational aspects of this event leave a lot of room for improvements for any upcoming events - assuming that the upcoming events non-meetup details are CLEARLY described in the meetup messages sent out by email to members.

AMAZING!! Gluten-Free Turkey, 2 Kinds of Stuffing, Glazed Squash, Garlic-Herb Mashed Potatoes, Buttermilk Biscuit, Cornbread, Sauteed Greens, Gravy, and Pumpkin Cheezecake...all made from scratch and Organic! Last year I got half the food for almost twice the price at a place in San Francisco and this meal tasted much better! Can't wait to reserve my spot for next year!

I was told in an email message Tuesday morning that my Meetup RSVP was not the same as the required RSVP to the location and cooking staff. When I asked if there were any spots open, I was told to email the cooking staff. Their answer to my email was a resounding YES there would be a spot available for me. I arrived at 7:00 pm (as directed in email) and waited for nearly an hour. The rest of the group waiting to be served? Don't know who they were. When the cooking staff had not started serving yet, and told me that I had to wait until all 25 who paid were served to see if there was any left over food, I was too tired to continue to wait - just on the off chance there might be some "crumbs" left over that they could sell to me for $28 (it would be too late to have a sit down meal). The communication on this as a Meetup was totally misleading, and there was no organization to the event at all. I don't even know if the food was any good (as it hadn't even been served yet! Worst!

not what I expected and VERY expensive for what we got. We were one of the lucky ones to get our food first and that wasn't until 7:30! Poorly organized, no one to bring the group together so it was just people sitting around talking with the people they came with. I was expecting more of a restaurant and group feel to the evening. Food was okay, but way too expensive for what we got. The turky was pretty awful - crumbled apart and very salty.
