How did you hear about the San Diego Vegans?

I did a search on Meetup.

What motivated you to join this MeetUp group?

Interested in building relationships with kind, conscious and compassionate people.

If you had to choose, which of these do you care the most about? Animal welfare, your health, the planet, or humanitarian efforts?

Avoiding disease and preventing suffering.

How would you label yourself when it comes to lifestyle and nutrition? (Vegan, vegetarian, plant-based foodie, vegan-curious, omnivore, locavore, etc.)

I avoid the exploitation of animals as much as possible. My nutrition has been plant-based for nearly a decade.

If you've already "Gone Vegan", why'd you do it? If you're considering "Going Vegan", what's inspiring you consider making the decision?

Read "Mad Cowboy" on Valentine's Day in 2007 and immediately stopped eating land animals half way through. 20 months later, I stopped eating fish, eggs and dairy as well. Health was the initial motivator to modify my nutrition. Compassion was the initial motivator to avoid exploiting animals.
