Come join the Sierra Singles and celebrate the arrival of Spring on this moderately paced hike to see the wide-open green hills, wildflowers and vistas of Briones Regional Park. Be prepare for mud, cold wind and sun. Frequent stops will be made to admire the wildflowers. Come and be prepared to do a 8-9 miles hike with about 1300 feet in elevation gain.
Bring: water, snacks to share and layered clothing.
Meet: 12 Noon.
Directions: from Hwy 24 take Orinda exit and onto Camino Pablo going north heading toward Richmond. Go several miles out of town to Bear Creek Rd. Turn right at signal and go about 5 miles (shortly after Happy Valley Rd.) to the park entrance on the right. Pay parking fee and park in the lot to the left of the kiosk. One may also park on Bear Creek Rd. and walk into the park.
