Synopsis: Hike down beside Bootjack Creek (possible cascades), through Redwood groves, and along Redwood Creek into Muir Woods. We will stop briefly at the Visitor Center area and then up the Dipsea trail to have lunch at Cardiac Hill overlooking the Ocean. Then down the Dipsea trail and follow Webb Creek up the Steep Ravine trail to Pantoll and the Matt Davis trail back to the Bootjack parking lot. Be prepared for possible mud and cold winds coming off the Pacific. If you wish to hike fast and get back early, this is not the hike for you. This is a Moderately Paced Hike. Estimated Distance of Hike: Approximately 10 miles. Total Elevation Gain: Approximately 2200 feet

Bring: Two liters water, Sun Screen, Snacks, Lunch, and warm clothing. Park rules prohibit alcoholic beverages. Recommend well-fitting boots for traction and ankle support. There is some steep slippery down-hill and hiking poles may be helpful.
Location: Meet at Bootjack parking lot Mt. Tamalpais State Park.
Directions: Exit 101 at CA 1 Mill Valley / Stinson Beach. Stay on Highway one (it turns left aprox. 1.5 miles). Remain on Highway One for aprox. 2.5 miles. Turn RIGHT on Panoramic Hwy. Continue up the mountain for approx. 5.5 miles. Bootjack parking lot is on the right. Bring $8.00 for parking fee. Allow 25 minutes from 101. If you arrive early, there may be free parking on the curve turnout 100 yards up the road from Boot Jack.
