Come join us as we hike from Redwood Park, goes through Huckleberry Botanical Preserve, where we can look for huckleberries, and then to Sibley Volcanic Preserve, to look for remnants of a 10 million years old volcano and maybe walk the mazes that have been erected by unknown persons. This hike is about seven miles long and hiking boots are recommended.
Bring: layered clothing, lunch, water and snacks to share.
Meet: 12:00 noon at Skyline Gate parking in Redwood Park. Directions: take Hwy 13 to Park Blvd and exit. Go east on Park (towards hills) to Mountain Blvd and turn left. Take Mountain to Snake Rd and turn right. Follow Snake a short distant to Shepherd Canyon Rd. Go straight on Shepherd Canyon and follow it up to Skyline Blvd. Turn right and go 1/3 mile to Skyline Gate.
