We'll be meeting at Schroeder's Bar and Restaurant for our SFWT 6th Anniversary Event.

Yes, after 76 meet up's, 3,737 members, 6,418 meet up attendees, $5,768 dollars raised, and 766 mosquito nets provided to families in need in Africa (via our charitable affiliation with The United Nations Foundation's "Nothing But Nets").......we are turning 6 years old!

We hope you will join us to meet with fellow Bay Area travelers and celebrate our latest milestone.

Schroeder's is a German Cafe with a large bar area that also serves a wide selection of food should any one choose to eat at the venue.

SFWT supports The United Nation's Foundations "Nothing but Nets' initiative to provide mosquito bed nets to families in Africa. As such all attendees are requested to make a minimum $1.00 donation to this important and valuable cause (of course if you'd like to give more you are welcome to do so.

Donations are not used to cover meet up fees or expenses and are contributed 100% to 'Nothing but Nets'. For more information go to .

Getting there:

Schroeder's is conveniently located between California and Sacramento St's at 240 Front St. It's also just a couple of blocks from the Embarcadero BART and MUNI station and 5 minutes walk from the Ferry Building on the Embarcadero. There are ample options for parking close by either on the street or at nearby garages.

RSVP Policy

SFWT offers a social setting for traveler's in the Bay Area community to meet their fellow travelers at no cost to themselves. In doing so we ask our members to be considerate in RSVP'ing for events. Due to limitations imposed by venue size we have to restrict the number of attendees for each event. As our community of SFWT members is large (3,750 members) events sometimes fill up quickly and on occasions a 'waiting list' may come into effect.

SFWT members are reminded to please change their RSVP if their plans change to free up space for others who might otherwise be stranded on the 'waiting list' on the day of the event.
