With Schroeder's closed for renovation for several months we will be trying several new venues as we seek to find a long term home for our SFWT Events.
We'll be meeting at Palomino for our SFWT February Event.
Attendee numbers are restricted for this event at the request of the venue. Please only attend if you are on the "Yes" list in the RSVP.
Palomino has a large bar area and outside patio area and also serves food should any one choose to eat at the venue. At the request of Palomino we will be assigned a barman with whom our group members should place their drinks or food orders.
Please be aware that while we will have an area of Palomino lounge for ourselves but we will be sharing the general space with the other regular customers.
SFWT supports The United Nation's Foundations "Nothing but Nets' initiative to provide mosquito bed nets to families in Africa. As such all attendees are requested to make a minimum $2.00 donation to this important and valuable cause (of course if you'd like to give more you are welcome to do so.
Donations are not used to cover meet up fees or expenses and are contributed 100% to 'Nothing but Nets'. For more information go to www.nothingbutnets.net (http://www.nothingbutnets.net/).
SFWT offers a social setting for traveler's in the Bay Area community to meet their fellow travelers at no cost to themselves. In doing so we ask our members to be considerate in RSVP'ing for events. Due to limitations imposed by venue size we have to restrict the number of attendees for each event. As our community of SFWT members is large (nearly 4,000 members) our events fill up quickly and on occasions a 'waiting list' may come into effect.
SFWT members are reminded to please change their RSVP if their plans change to free up space for others who might otherwise be stranded on the 'waiting list' on the day of the event.
By RSVP'ing for any San Francisco World Travelers event you accept, understand and agree that your attendance at any of the groups activities is undertaken entirely at your own risk and the safe keeping of your personal possessions is your own responsibility.
