About us

This group will combine Mindfulness, Forest Bathing, and Meditation with Movement. The goal is to be present and focused only on the present moment (the NOW) by using and focusing your attention on your five senses.

There will be a group debriefing at the start. Afterward, each individual will walk alone and not engage with others until the end. This is an individual session for YOU only. People can share their experiences at the end of the walk, but it is optional.

Each person should bring an intention (written down) for the hike. You will NOT be asked to share your intention, but please have it written down.

Bring all that you’d need for 2 hours on the trail – sunscreen, hat, water, snacks/food, a small towel if you want to sit down along the way, etc.

I’m planning on walking an hour out and an hour back. You can bring your lunch and eat along your walk or join us at the picnic tables at the farm, where we’ll meet at the end of the walk. You can walk as much or as little as you’d like.

Please come 15 minutes early so I can give you more information about the objective, the trail we’ll take, and mileage, etc.

It is a flat walk along the ocean bluffs with many areas to explore and stop along the way, depending on how you feel.

Also, it is helpful to have a small notebook so you can write down some of your observations as you go through this process. This is optional.

We’ll meet at Wilder Ranch State Park in front of the bathrooms at 9:45 am. The start time is at 10 am.

If you park inside Wilder Ranch, there is a $10.00 charge unless you have a State Park pass. Alternatively, you can park on Highway 1 outside the park, climb the small hill, walk across a field, and enter the park for free.

This is a great way to start working mindfulness and meditation into your new 2024 routine!

We look forward to seeing you!
Please call or text me if you have any questions or problems.

Thank you!

Mindfulness: A mental state achieved by focusing one’s awareness on the present moment while calmly acknowledging and accepting one’s feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, used as a therapeutic technique.

Mindfulness can help people avoid destructive or automatic habits and responses by observing their thoughts, emotions, and other present-moment experiences without judging or reacting to them.

Forest Bathing: Shinrin-yoku (a Japanese word) is a practice or process of therapeutic relaxation where one spends time in a forest or natural atmosphere, focusing on sensory engagement to connect with nature.

Meditation: To engage in a mental exercise (such as concentration on one’s breathing or repetition of a mantra) to reach a heightened level of spiritual awareness. To focus one’s thoughts.
