  • Beach House Rentals

Beach House Rentals is kind enough to lend their lobby to us for the rest of the evening on Aug 26th.  This location can host about 20 people comfortably.  Trust us, the venue is gorgeous!  It's right next to the wine bar:  "It's Wine Tyme" (which recently relocated from across the street).  Yes, that's the name of the wine bar!  We'll post some pictures of the interior of this fine location soon.

There is dedicated parking available behind the venue -- roughly 14 parking spots.  Outside parking exists, but they are all metered.  Definitely carpool if you can.

This is one night you surely won't want to miss (assuming the weather remains nice)!

**Update**:  Food will be served.  Please choose which pizza you prefer:

But, please feel free to provide something from the following poll, and be sure to checkoff what you would bring:

Y'all may be interested: hack day SF with a node-capable microcontroller.

(Some may recognize PubNub as they presented at the most recent NewTech.)

Everyone: we will have to end strictly @ 9pm due to ordinance rules/compliance. Since Vinit and are intending to get to SC earlier, feel free to stop by after > 5:30pm.

Lastly: be sure to update the pizza poll if you are sure to come.

The turnout looks pretty good, with a bunch of very experienced programmers intending on coming.

We will be providing food! We're going to need other stuff, though. Definitely update the poll for whatever you may be able to bring:

Also in the poll, please select what kind of pizza you prefer (again, we will provide the food).

yeah we'll play by ear: placeOfPurchase = trafficConditions ? 'Santa Cruz Costco' : 'somewhere closer to our final destination'

I think you mean " placeOfPurchase = trafficConditionsIzBad ? 'SC Costco' : null;"

As I'll be coming from Palo Alto, I can have 2 others carpool down with me. I intend on leaving Palo Alto < 3pm to avoid the heavy traffic.

sure. As long as your willing to leave no later than 3:30pm (guessing it'll take me ~30 min to get from Palo Alto to Los Gatos).

+1 on the great location, it's true.

Great to see a meetup over in Capitola. Topic sounds good.

I will probably be working with Unit Testing, specifically Jasmine and Mocha. This aspect of JS will definitely take me some time to get up to speed with, especially doing it in Angular. May be working on control flow and managing critical paths -- using $q (Angular's Promise library)
