I have been a member since my second meeting, in April of this year, and have enjoyed this club so much! We have wonderful members (about 25 in all, ranging from "20 somethings" to 90 somethings!) and there is always someone new to meet and something new to learn. It is a great way to get past public speaking fears, but also make new friends, have big laughs and above all, improve your life just a little bit, one Saturday at a time!

Our past "Meet and Greet" meeting on May 26th. 2012 was by far the most engaging, informative and entertaining yet. There were 50 plus in attendance and the social networking during the break and following the meeting was awesome. The speeches and presentations were captivating. This, as well as all other meetings, provided value to the entire audience. The refreshments were great. The Table Topic respondents were humorous and upbeat. One of our members who is blind, gave a very emotional charged speech titled, "Dare to be Happy". It was delivered with resolute passion and challenged all of us to make the fundamentally sound choice to be happy. It left all of us encouraged and inspired to choose to be happy in spite of circumstances and adversity. This was the first of what will become a semi-annual event. It was a resounding success.      Excellent organization for improving one's self confidence, fear of speaking in front of an audience and grammar. Opportunity to establish relationships with nice professional people who are like minded.

The members of Saturday Sunrise Toastmasters are enthusiastic about their club. I most enjoyed the speeches of club members. The duration of the meeting was longer than I expected, but there were several special guests who were given an opportunity to speak.

In our last meeting we had an excellent meeting with 5 great speeches. Brent speech was titled Puzzed which he gave us an amazing history on art, it was very informative. Maria's speech was also very very good, her speech was "the oddball" which told us 4 simple ways how to small talk. Those four steps were 1. dress appropiate 2. smile 3. listen 4. posture. She followed with examples on how to go about it in each step. Charlene's speech was also excellent. Her speech was "Close your eyes for a toastmasters surprise" this speech explained the benefits of being a toastmasters. On her speech you learned something new if you were a new member or an established member. Very good speech. George's speech was named "success tools for kids" were he told us the steps on how to do cold calling. George told us several ways on how to get the information from the buyer, so that he/she will be more willing to "invest" on the product. Ethel's speech was BPS (being prepared=success)
