Guardians of the Gløgg

It’s that time of year again… It’s time for the Guardians of the Gløgg to gather in their basement kitchen to make another batch of Gløgg, using the secret recipe that has been entrusted to us. by a previous Guardian.
Gløgg is a “best seller” in the Oslo Lounge, as well as at the various Lodge events throughout the winter. This is a great opportunity to learn how to make this festive beverage, while helping a local nonprofit.
I would like to kick this party off with a “potluck” style dinner and Happy Hour in the Oslo Lounge. We had an amazing turnout at our Inaugural Event! Everyone had a great time making the Gløgg and socializing over some amazing appetizers and a fairly good Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo, if I do say so myself (and I do!). I plan to make the main course again this year, perhaps the Alfredo, and others are welcome to bring appetizers, side dishes, and desserts.
The Christmas Tree Raising is earlier in the day and we are planning to have the Oslo Lounge open at 3:30pm for Happy Hour and socializing.
If you aren’t attending the Tree Raising, plan on arriving by 3:30 so we can gather the “Guardians” in the lounge, to feast!
Once we’re sufficiently fed, we can move the party to the Nordic Room and the downstairs kitchens, to begin the sacred ritual of making this magnificent elixir.
One of Grieg Lodge’s longtime members will be available to give informative and exciting tours of the Historic Norse Hall.
This event is Adults Only and the Lodge’s youth director has graciously made himself available to occupy children age 5+, so parents don’t have to miss out on this opportunity!
