Tuesday Evening Walk from The Old Mill, Berkhamsted

This is a new route from the Old Mill in Berkhamsted and a lovely walk of about 4 miles, taking us along some of the canal, before going past the Cricket Club and into the fields, valley path and woodlands beyond. We'll end with a nice view over the town and a drink in their fabulous waterside beer gardens. The pub also has a mini waterfall within the pub (See gallery). Walking time approx. 1.5 to 2 hours.

The price for the walk is £2 to cover costs.

After the walk there's the option of staying for a chat, drink and food at the Old Mill pub. It's a lovely scene, a big old pub, a gastro pub, with waterside outdoor seating overlooking the canal and mini waterfall.

Free Parking
There's free parking at the Old Mill and you won't need to register your car registration number with them.

Travelling from London / by Train
There is now a new, on-demand bus service called HertsLynx which runs from all three nearby train stations; Berkhamsted, Tring and Hemel Hempstead. Depending on availability, you can book in advance to get from these stations to many of the walk start points for £2 each way.

The HertsLynx app is free and the service stops a hundred yards down from the Old Mill pub (Stop Name: 'Berkhamsted - London Rd, Asda Fuel Station'). Nearest train station is Berkhamsted.

The organiser cannot be held responsible for any injuries, however caused. Members are expected to take responsibility for their own preparation and safety including adequate fluids, weather protection and a snack. Please be sure to make me aware if you have any medical conditions.

Dogs are welcome as always but please be mindful to keep them on leads for roads and around other animals. These events are not for children.
