The Washington Post Hunt!

The Washington Post Hunt!

Do you love stupid puzzles, horrible puns, and brain teasers? Do you think you can beat 10,000 of the cities best and brightest? If the answer is yes, come join me and others at the annual Washington Post Hunt.

The event is simple. At noon, the organizers give out five coordinates. Using the map in the Washington Post magazine (provided for free on site), you have 3 hours to solve all five puzzles. The answer to each puzzle will be a number, and that number will correspond to a clue in the magazine. At 3 p.m, you get the final clue that ties them all together, and you race to solve the End Game and win $2,000.

Sounds simple, right? Wrong!

My recommendation is to brush up on riddles from years past. The same creators have been making this event for 20 years (starting in Miami), and they like to think a certain way. They love puns and they incorporating phone numbers into puzzles.
