You may have seen the recent article about Zappos firing all the managers.

Self organisation is core to the ideas being discussed at Zappos. The Valve induction handbook is another example from a few years back. And there is Semco going since the 1980s.

Tonight we investigate whether we think this is a fad, whether it is a special circumstance or whether it s something than can be applied in a more general context.

Read the article, read the books, reflect on your own experience and come along ready to contribute.

Agenda

• We will run a short intro on the idea, explaining the basics of Holacracy.

• We will then break into discussion groups exploring the topics in the context of our own experience

• Then close out with a plenary discussion of the big lessons for the discussions.
