THIS IS ONE OF OUR MOST POPULAR DIVE EVENTS OF THE YEAR!
1-- Meet at the gate at 8 don't be late without communicating with someone in the group.
2 -- Scuba divers MUST have a dive partner present @ the time of check in!
3 -- DIVERS need to bring all of their gear with them! THERE IS NO SCUBA RENTAL OR FILLS ON SITE.
Suggested gear: 3 or 5 mm wetsuit, 2 tanks, in addition to the usual stuff. Lights are not allowed for Open Water Certifications in Blue Springs ($150 fine if caught).
4 -- This event is planned as a "2 tank" dive.
5 -- NO LIGHTS ALLOWED unless Cavern or Cave certified.
6 -- Last dive will begin no later than 2 pm.
7 -- At least one Dive Master will be available for anyone who wants refresher training.
LUNCH about 12 noon. We will grill hamburgers and other items for lunch! Each person should bring something to contribute to the meal (paper plates, cups, soft drinks, bottles of water, condiments, chips, cookies, etc.)

Blue Spring offers swimming and scuba diving in a crystal clear, 72 degree spring run. It is one of the few sites where divers and non-divers can mingle at the dive site! following the dive, usually drift down to the exit point and get to see lots of underwater wildlife, esp brim, perch, mullet, and even a talapia or two.
Nice changing facilities are available so bring dry clothes for the ride home.
Friends and family can enjoy tubing the crystal clear waters of Blue Spring run. The entry point is just downstream from the spring boil, and the takeout is approximately a quarter mile downstream at the swim dock. Bring non divers can own raft or tube and enjoy the day drifting downstream with their diving friends only 1-2 feet below them.
Blue Spring is a designated manatee refuge. Temperatures in the spring run remain a constant 72 degrees; creating a safe haven for the West Indian Manatee. To provide a safe warm water refuge for manatees during the winter season, the spring and spring run is closed to all water related activities including swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving and boating from November 15 through March 1.
