Previously, this group offered a free, volunteer-driven program will teach you the foundations of web development over the course of 12 weekends. The info read: "You will learn full stack web development and build an elegant To-Do List website for your professional portfolio. Each weekly session will be approximately 2 hours. By the end of this program, you will have a solid foundation of skills to build beautiful, elegant web applications.

There is no charge to join, however we do ask for your commitment and perseverance. If you have any questions if this program is right for you, feel free to reach out to any of our friendly Organizers. We will also have an online forum available for members to support one another during the program.

Below is the curriculum we will follow for this program (slight changes possible, but mainly we will stick with Javascript and Node.js.)

Week 1: Intro to HTML & CSS (What you can see online)

Week 2: Git, Atom (Build your development time machine)

Week 3: Web Hosting (Show off your own website to the world)

Week 4: Intro to Javascript (Dynamic changes to your website presentation)

Week 5: Javascript Cont’d (Who likes blank items in the To-Do list?)

Week 6: Extra servings of JavaScript (Avoiding callback hell)

Week 7: Javascript Debugging (Hidden powers of browsers)

Week 8: Intro to Node.js (Give your website superpowers)

Week 9: More Node.js (Starting server)

Week 10: Some More Node.js (Get some Rest)

Week 11: Intro to MySql (Rows & Columns)

Week 12: More MySql (Save items forever)

Week 12+: Security (Make your passwords secure)"
