Re: [php-49] freelance to full-time

Contrary to some of the other responses, I think you'll find that no small number of large businesses are quite *behind* when it comes to latest technologies.  Seldom is there much revenue in upgrading/updating so they don't bother.

Something to ponder is: do you want to work on an in-house site (random example, King County Metro's website or SEOMoz) or for a website company (random example, Capitol Media)?  Or maybe a service company like AWS or Twilio?

For example, I dig my job (in-house website) because I get to help make it bigger, better, more robust, etc.  Some, though, making a site, handing it off, and move on to make another site.

My two cents for now (ha),

So I'm contemplating in the fall leaving freelance and going
full-time. I was wondering for those that have been freelancing for a
long time and then went fte, did you encounter any challenges coming
from a freelance background. I can imagine having a nice portfolio is
super important. Any thoughts?
