Re: [php-49] Does Anyone have any Experience with CKEditor (v3)

In my opinion, Fckeditor is a javascript application that append itself to a form id. Should you need to disable its functionalities in the "guest" mode, you simply need to include an if condition somewhere in your php doc to link to the javascript file.

hi max,

?? i've used FCKEditor for years - i have yet to look at CKeditor.

?? this editor does not directly connect to a db. ?think of it as a glorified form element. ?use _samples/sample_posteddata.php to install it within a PHP context. ?once you get it working a ?form element, you'll want to built PHP code to be able to process the form element and save the data to a db (or wherever you are storing it).

?? the documentation for FCKEditor was always somewhat sparse, but searching google will provide some examples. ?over the years, i've been able to customize the toolbar and to augment the file/image upload to source my own internal list of files (fed from my db). ?it's a good editor.

?? if you have any specific questions, feel free to contact me directly.
